With more and more people taking to the water,
space is at a premium in any marina. In a crowded environment,
the risk of collision inevitably rises, particularly when performing
complex manoeuvres like docking, and the consequences of a mistake
can be costly in both time and money. Even with an extra
pair of eyes it could still be impossible to see everything
you need to at the same time, which is why Iris Marine created
the Docking Camera System.
To minimise
the risk of collision in close manoeuvring situations,
the Iris Marine Docking Camera System offers the helmsman
a 180 degree view of each side of his boat and eliminates
potentially dangerous blind spots.
The system uses four high specification cameras in specialist
housings linked to a high brightness backlit monitor
on the fly bridge. Using the Docking Camera System,
helmsmen can remain at the throttles, confident that
they can see all potential hazards and obstructions
while manoeuvring.
The Docking Camera System can also be integrated into
any See-Sea TV package, providing the additional security
of wide-angle views around the boat perimeter.
Of benefit to boats of any size,
but of particular value to vessels in excess of 40 feet, the
Docking Camera System offers:
>
180 degree coverage of each side of your
boat
>
elimination of dangerous blind spots
>
vastly reduced risk of collision when manoeuvring
>
additional security when integrated into your SSTV system
